1970 Cockburn Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: Not known - Mature red in colour, with a copper tone to the edge; 70% opaque. On the nose this smells of fresh rain on woodlands, a bit harsh with sour cherries showing strongly. Gentle entry, with gentle fruit and bringing gentle tannins. Nice elegance and generous fruit. Cherry juice on the aftertaste, before a spicy and enjoyable finish that fades quickly. 90 points
