Decant: 5 hours - Light in colour, pale rose; 10% opaque. On the nose this smells herbaceous, full of dry green leaves. Sweet entry, little fruit, showing as a lightweight port. Strawberries arrive mid-palate and grow to mouthfilling levels. Lovely balance. Wood ash on the aftertaste, slight woody edge to the long finish that lacks fruit but has plenty of green apples on the finish. Not a great showing - just possibly slightly flattened by the mildest of TCA taint. Served blind this was guessed to be Sandeman 1985. 84 points
