Decant: 4 hours - Hedges and Butler. Pale red in colour with a pale rim, 30% opaque. Pleasant nose of stewed red fruit. Soft and sweet on the palate, initially slightly flabby but gets its focus and balance back well. Powerful dry charcoal tannin but the fruit is a little sour and medium in weight. A long finish of sour aniseed with a twist of bitters. 86 points
