2011 Fonseca Vintage Port

Decant: 1-4 days - Very subdued nose that comes with a minty or metallic undertone. Violets on the entry, accompanying sweet, ripe fruit; lovely texture with great fruit, tannins and acidity - the fruit coming with a lovely purity. Fruit driven aftertaste and a finish of dry, soft tannin. A complete port in an elegant style, very refined. Took a couple of days to get into its stride, but was well worth the wait. 92-94. 92 points
