1977 Graham Vintage Port
Decant: 6 days - Mature appearance, slight bricking on the rim; 40% opaque. A touch smelly and alcoholic on the nose, not particularly attractive. Nice texture, but a little hollow on entry, somewhat lacking in fruit but with a reasonable structure. Air and work on the palate released an attractive cranberry - dry, spicy and with generous Christmas cake. A slight harsh burst on the aftertaste, then a long and dry finish. Still a fine wine (from a Tappit Hen opened 6 days previously but kept at cool cellar temperature). 90 points
