2000 Niepoort Secundum Vintage Port

Decant: 9 hours - Opaque centre, thin transparent rim. Subdued on the nose, with a slight astringency. Sweet entry on the palate, with strawberry jam and gentle tannins. Good development on the palate. The aftertaste is lightweight but leads to a big, powerful finish that is sweet, fine and very long. Served blind, this was guessed to be Warre 1991. 91 points
