2011 Sandeman Vintage Port

Decant: 1 hour - Freshly bottled. Deep red in colour. A touch hollow on the nose with little showing other than some faint soap. Fruit shows briefly on entry before powerful tannins seize the teeth and gums. This is very big on the palate and has a great level of acidity. The finish is huge showing a bit of heat before a very, very long dry blackcurrant finish. A big tannic brute. 91-93. 91 points
