1977 Taylor Vintage Port

Decant: 5 hours - Cherry red, with a deep centre; 70% opaque. Sadly showing cabbage and bottle stink on the nose, but this did reduce with time in the glass. Lovely balance on entry; sweet and gentle fruit with perfect mid-palate balance and sweet cherry fruit. A touch simple on the palate, witht he tannins barely noticeable. The tannins show on the aftertaste, driving a modest length finish. 89 points
