2007 Taylor LBV Port

Decant: Not known - Bought by the glass from the Oatland's Park Hotel, Surrey - the only port on offer and open for an unknown amount of time, stored on the top shelf under some bright lights.
Deep red, 90% opaque. Attractive nose of sweet stewed rhubarb and mint (perhaps a little warm). Soft and smooth entry on the palate, lots of dates and sweet cranberry but the tannins are mostly gone. There is a distinct tingle to the palate and the finish from the level of acidity and the finish is good and long, if a little dry. This has lasted well under poor storage conditions. 85 points
