2011 Vale Dona Maria Vintage Port

Decant: 1-4 days - Nose initially sweet, but later shows stong grapefruit acidity. Soft textured, sweet fruit with a lovely perfume component, vigorous tannins but the fruit always dominates. Fabulous aromatics on the aftertaste and a very long and powerful tannin domianted finish. A very impressive powerhouse of a port that is likely to live a long time. 94-96. 94 points
