Decant: 6 hours - Mature red, ruby rim and 60% opaque centre. Red cherries on the nose, lively and attractive with a twist of spearmint and charcoal. Charcoal on the impact, fruit is a little restrained and arrives late but eventually delivers cedar and raspberry syrup. Dry on the mid-palate; great texture. Lovely balance, delicate flavours but perhaps just starting to fade. Absolutely delicious. Served blind, this was guessed to be Martinex 1967. 92 points
