Purchased at a wine shop in Lamego, Douro, May 10th, 2014.
Came in a very nice three-bottle wooden box with sliding top.
This tasting note is based on consuming three bottles, of which two bottles here in Norway during June 2014, and also one bottle at Graham’s Vinum restaurant in Vila Nova Gaia May 2014.

Decanted 2.5 hrs (except restaurant bottle which was 1 hr). Medium dark red colour with a clear touch of brown. Deep appealing fresh fruit aroma of flowers, red berries, oak, some tobacco and hints of tar/asphalt. Full body. Powerful and elegant in a very nice combination. Structure of wood, berries, flowers and minerals creating a “big wine”, but not “too big”. On the dry side. Long aftertaste. Should age well. 94 pts.
