Does shopping at amazon thru the FTLOP shop help out the site?

We just signed on to Amazon to be able to add items to a "FTLOP" shopping area ... with Port related accouterments. I am looking to add some books, glassware and other cool items in the very near future ... that I feel confident are worthy items that not only look good but are useful.
In January, I plan to totally revamp this part of the website and populate it with unique items ... but we did want to at least get it up and running in time for the launch.
