changing GMT setting

Stewart,
Due to time change I tried changing to GMT -7 hours, however, when i save it, it defalts to GMT. Obviously that is 7 hours ahead of me here on the West Coast. I assume this is part of the problem regarding the avatars? Any suggestions or do I need to call Alan to torture you with more bad jokes
