Opened tonight with no extended decanting, this Port proved to be a very nice LBV that define exactly what I think of a traditionnal LBV at its peak : A balanced fruit bomb with almost fully integrated tannins. This wine was expressive on the nose with scents of ripe black plums, dark cherries and a good dose a licorice. The palate is smooth, very sweet and low acidity, plums and licorice are the dominant flavours, little tobacco too. Some tannins left give this wine a bit of bitter chocolate taste leading to a fruit packed finale. A very fine exemple of LBV. 16.5/20

It can probably age for a few more years but I like it a lot right now. All that I dislike from it 2 years ago got integrated.
