We bought lots of cases of this on a sale for about $20 a few years back. I have opened them far too often but finally had a moratorium in the past few months until a couple of weeks ago. I call it a war horse because it is consistent and steady and reliable. All bottles have been good , sturdy examples of a fine , if not blockbuster port. Deep ruby almost violet color, Deep perfume dark fruit nose. Full mouth feel. Nice cinnamon nut meg spiceiness. Nice lingering finish.
I think all bottles I have had rated about a 90. This bottle was tasted from over 10 days and never really fell back. No overpowering alcohol Never hot or out of balance. Now down to about a case. Time to put on the brakes.
BTW , I am back after a few months absecne from FTLOP. I have been doing the "full body makeover",. losing about 40+ pounds , lifting weights, bodybuilding, and lots of cardio. I have limited my wine intake quite a bit but what I drink is high quality and doubly appreciated.
