Tasted blind. There is some fine sediment at the bottom of the glass in a lighter colored wine, but otherwise this is very clear. There are aromas of banana and caramel; along with cooked ceps and foie gras. This one is tending to more tawny-like, but nowhere near as good as #2 (1985 Ferreira VP, that also was very much like a 10-20 year old tawny). 90 points.

This bottle was pretty uncharacteristic, from my experience, for this wine, which I usually find quite young and juicy.
