1985 Croft Vintage Port

Tasted blind. Medium ruby red with a slight brown tint. This is, however, the most red of the flight (1985 Rabello Valente, Krohn, Kopke, QdNN, and Croft). It has a strawberry aroma along with some alcohol warmth and a floral character. It is not, however, as aromatic as the the previous four wines tasted. In the mouth, there is definite warmth along with a thick, figgy, syrupy sweetness. This is a lot like the QdNN, but not quite as good. A little wood aroma showed up later. 92 points.
