Tasted blind, this was later revealed to have been in a black bottle, noted since some people claim taste differences between the black and green bottles. This was ruby brown with good clarity, medium dark. There were aromas of leather, cedar cellar, raspberry, and sour cherry. Quite nice with tangy acid in the mouth, along with some oxidation. This is medium bodied, and also has some flavors of prune and hard candy. The finish is fairly sweet with some tamed warm. 90 points.
Upon review, the description sounds better to me than the score. I guess the oxidation was more distracting than pleasant.
