2002 Quinta da Prelada LBV port

From a very difficult year for port wines. But this LBV was a big positive surprise. I have had no previous experience with this producer.
3 hrs decanting. Medium dark red colour with a touch of brown. Aroma of sweet berries (strawberries and plums), oak and old cellar). Taste was smooth, quite elegant, then a sharp middle part before being more smooth. Nice tannins. Long aftertaste.
90 pts.
