A case of six btls purchased 5 yrs ago. Now when the wine is 8 yrs old it is time to make the first test.
Decanted 4 hrs. Medium to dark red colour. Aroma of flowers, berries (especially strawberries), something smoky, oak and minerals. Full to medium body. Powerful, quite elegant. Acidity too much noticeable for my style. Fruity, quite tannic towards the end. Long to medium aftertaste. Next time we will try even longer decanting time as it softened a bit with another hour in the decanter during the dinner. 91 pts.
