1977 Barao de Vilar Colheita
Bottled 2013

Color: Med tawny. Some greenish tinge at the rim.

Nose: Slightly fruity, caramel, bourbon vanilla, spirity.

Palate: Rich, smooth, some heat, very round, slight bitter edge. Needs some decant time. Only slight torrefaction, some brown sugar.

Finish: Good length, nice fruit. Nothing spectacular, but pleasant.

Score: 92 pts. Might be better with 1-2 hours decant. An interesting bottle because it's not a house that you see very often, especially in the US.
