1948 Taylor Vintage Port

Garnet with more brown tint on the edge, but color shows a good amount of red for a 1948. There are sweet aromas with cinnamon, possibly raspberry, candied fruit, and gumdrop. Really nice in the mouth, this has good sweetness, and while the acid is not strong, there is enough to keep things in pleasant balance. The body is medium-thin, but better than the previously tasted 1926 C. da Silva. 94 points.

Me? Zero. At the moment it appears my oldest remaining VPs are from 1960.

I bought that bottle to the tasting and it was my only one.
