April this year we had a bottle from the same bottling and purchased at the same time as this bottle. Clearly showing bottle variations also for tawnies that has 9 years since bottling. Gave 94 pts last time, now 89 pts.
Bottled 2006. Decanted 2 hrs. Relatively dark cognac colour. Aroma of nuts and oak, but unfortunately overshadowed by spirits which did not approved even after 6 hrs in the decanter. Full body. Also in the taste the alcohol was there, lots of nuts, some citrus, touch of herbs, quite smooth, powerful, sharp towards the end. Medium to long aftertaste. 89 pts.
