Tasted blind. Bottled 1973. Slightly hazy. Lots of aromas working here. There is a lime, tending to melon thing. Is that lime pith? There is also a beer yeasty ester character. And there is some spirit too. Really odd in the mouth too—key lime pie? There is lots of sweetness, but not just sugar. It seems there is some crust to go with the key lime pie. This is not a classic 40 year old—it’s too thick and creamy, but pretty good. 91-92 points.
