Was having dinner with friends last night and one couple busted this out, much to my surprise. Some light bricking that is consistent with this Port. Very expressive nose full of dried rose pedals, lavender, dried plums, and a touch of cedar. The palate was silky smooth with resolved tannins. Lots of licorice, dried cherries, and a dash of eucalyptus in the background. A very lengthy finish wrapped up the package. Fully mature but on what will be a long plateau. A real treat!
95 Points.

Some variation in them-one last month was like yours but the one Monday was much younger.

I agree. As with any wine of this age, or older, one will start seeing some variations.
