Bottled in 2002. Sealed with a T-cork. Given this was only 8 years old at time of bottling, I was surprised at how light in color it was. Far closer in color to a 20-30 year old Tawny. A light tea, with red and orange as well. A soapy nose that also shows marzipan. A light bodied palate, with a touch of spirit, some citrus, orange rind, toffee, and no noticeable tannins. The finish is rather long with plenty of citrus, though it quickly sheds the complexity of the palate which accounts for the slightly lower score. That said, I am shocked at how old this shows given it was bottled after only 8 years. There was a fair bit of sediment, both attached to the bottle and in suspension. I've never had this or even seen it before, so a real treat to enjoy a bottle of it.
