1960 Quinta do Godim Vintage Port
Posted: Sat Oct 31, 2015 8:54 am
A "forgotten" Porthouse, handwritten label.
Opend 30.th October 2015 in Copenhagen, Denmark
Decant: 2 hours
The cork came out smooth, slow and in one pieces with the Durand (without using the spikes). Just after opening, I knew by the big fresh Nose, that the port was more than drinkable.
Colour: red/brown, just like cola
Nose filled with elegance and balanced citrus. Sitting now on the second day, and are just enjoying the even bigger nose.
The port lingers in the mouth, with a warm, soft an not overly sweet taste.
Overall a very pleasant surprise. 92 points
