TN: 2012 Pacheca Superior Douro D.O.C. (tinto)

Aromas show a young wine, with grape stem, esteva (?, later found out to not be the case, but this was in my original note as I was searching for a descriptor), raspberry, and grape jam. Very powerful tannins, which are hiding some wood in the background. Deep strong flavors, fruit forward, but it shows it could be old world. This may be better in five years. For now, 88-89 points.
