Mellow and more integrated aromas than the 2012 Superior, with herbs like sassafras or licorice. 90 points.

Sorry, that's all I wrote.

Nope. The Pacheca website had lots of notes on composition, etc., but I don't know anything about pricing. Wine-searcher?

Googling it seems to be about $15-16 per in Portugal. Not bad for what would probably be a $20 wine here.

Winemaking:
The grapes coming from Quinta da Pacheca Old Vines were taken to the winery in plastic boxes. The grapes were completely destemed and slightly crushed. After this the must was transferred to the stone tanks (lagares) were the grapes were foot trodden and fermented 10 days. After the malolactic fermentation the wine was racked into new French and oak barrels for 12 months.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinto Cão, Tinta Amarela, Sousão
Tasting Notes:
It shows a complex aroma, with fruit and the oak very well integrated and revealing spicy nuances. Intense and deep ond the palate. The firm tannic structure gives great balance to the wine with a long and a gourmand finish.
Store and Serve Advices:
It should be served at a temperature of 16ºC to 18ºC.
Food Pairing:
This wine finely accompanies red meats, roast beef and grilled meats.

For this particular Douro red I noted that the Retail price in Portugal is € 18 per bottle.

This wine was clearly the best we tasted at Pacheca and I gave it one point higher than Eric, i.e. 91 pts.
