I was invited by the spanish 'Fundación para la Cultura del Vino' to a tasting of 18 Symington's vintages, namely Warre's, Graham's and Dow´s 1963-1970-1985-1994-2000-2003.
The place was the Salón Real at the Casino de Madrid (Spain). The time, friday, november 11th, 2005.
Excellent organisation, very skilled taste-conductor, everyone at the event very pleased... as I was told by some friends who were able to go. Unluckily, I couldn't.
Anyone around here has further news about it or about similar tastings held anywhere?

That is really unkind, to post a note with a title designed to make people think "Wow, what a tasting. I wonder what the wines were like, I must read the tasting notes."
And then to find you didn't go.
I do sympathise, it sounds like it would have been a fabulous opportunity to taste some superb wines.
