Decanted about 6 hours and consumed over the following two. The color is starting to show some evolution but still is predominately ruby. A nose which gives more mature flavors of prunes, a good dose of licorice, and soft ripe cherries. This comes of soft for a short second at which time a good amount of tannins come forth. At which time ripe cherries, pine, licorice, and mint show up. A touch of spirit gives a little warmth as this stays in the mouth and into the finish. A slightly clipped finish. From this bottle it is in a good place right now and is in the perfect place to enjoy. Based on this bottle, enjoy now and over the next few years. If I am not mistaken, this was the first commercial release of a Vintage Port from Quinta do Tedo after the Bouchard's bought it.
