1970 Croft Vintage Port

Another of the 8 that I got from WineBid last spring. So far they have been pleasant, though fully mature. This one also fits that profile.
1970 Croft VP
Color: medium garnet with a well-aged look to it. Clear rim.
Nose: soft and mild. Gentle strawberry, some confectioner's sugar.
Palate: soft, pleasant. Fully mature, but still some faint tannins. Some very faint mint.
Finish: good length, slightly bitter as it tails off.
Score: 90 pts. Possibly influenced by its age. It's borderline 89-90 for me regardless. I'll be drinking these up over the next couple of years as there's no further improvement to come that I can see.
