Dow's Crusted Port
Posted: Sun Mar 06, 2016 3:31 pm
Date: 04/03/2016
Place: The WineCompany in Copenhagen
Condition: Served at around 17 degrees Celsius, bottled in 2016
Color: Opaque, dark red with a purple rim
Nose: Splendid nose with liquorice, violets. Quite masculine
Note: Medium body. Nice hit of sweetness where after the tannins kicks in and a dryness takes over in the after taste. Not a stand out in the evening. Was most likely a blend of the 2009 and 2008 vintage. The nose yielded and additional point.
Info: This was part of a tasting session with Gustavo Devesas. Time for making elaborate taste notes was scarce.
Score: 89 points
