Dinner at restaurant Rufete, Pinhao.
Limited decanting (0.5 - 1.0 hr). Medium to dark red colour. Subdued aroma of minerals, oak and asphalt. Full body. Powerful at start, berries coming on the longer the wine is in the decanter. Same with minerals, oak and the asphalt. Good level of acidity. A demanding wine that will benefit from longer decanting (suggesting 3 hrs). Medium to long aftertaste. The score is based on our experience. With longer decanting it may increase. 88 pts.
