Bottled 2013. Decanted 3 hrs. Some fine sediments. Deep dark purple red colour. Appealing aroma of berries where most of the “raw juice” that we often find in young LBVs, was gone. Aroma also showing minerals, hints of oak, flowers and spicy herbs. Medium body. Elegant from the start with smooth berries, then tannins were coming on in a very dry form. With one more hour in the decanter that experience mellowed. The taste is having hints of dark chocolate. Medium length aftertaste. For the next bottles we will decant 4-5 hrs. Works nicely with cheese. 88 pts.
