1997 Rozes vintage port

Purchased 6 btls in Denmark in year 2000 and kept in our cellar since then. The bottles were picked up by a business friend. I am afraid that he kept the case of 6 btls in the trunk of his car in warm weather, and that ruined the port. However, this one was drinkable.
Label stating the grapes are from Cima Corgo region. Cork was in perfect condition. Decanted 4 hrs. Medium dark red colour. Aroma showing a lot of fruit at opening, quite pleasant. But for each hour opened there was a growing metal aroma. Medium body. Quite smooth at start, but then sharper towards the end. Fruit is there, but more in the background. Medium length aftertaste. 83 pts.
