First time tasting/consuming a Bulas Colheita.
Bottled 2015 which ias same year as their last 20 yrs old tawny. So the Colheita is then a year or two younger than the 20 yrs old. Decanted 2 hrs. Colour slightly darker and with more red than the ”cousin” 20 yrs tawny. Deep dark brown with clear signs of red. Incredibly powerful aroma of fruit combined with herbs, oak and some caramel. Full body. Powerful, elegant. So many various tastes, such as oak, herbs, citrus, caramel, all in a well structured way. Nice balance acid/sweetness. Long aftertaste with caramel, citrus and herbs. Strong (more tough than the 20 yrs tawny) colheita with pleasant tannins. Considered one more point, but ended at 95 pts.
