1996 Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage Port

Opened yesterday, not decanted.
First bottle of a 6-pack, which I bought a few years ago from a private person in Belgium at just € 20 a bottle, even for a SQVP a real bargain over here. It was stored in his cellar, so pretty good I guess. Despite the slighly lesser reviews on CT and FTLOP I like this VP very much. It's not like the Fonseca 2000 VP I had two weeks ago, but this is drinking very nice!

The cork was a pain and eventually came out in about 26 pieces :-(
The colour is like a nice Bordeaux wine, deep red, slightly transparent, but no real fading or bricking at the rim.
The nose is full of fruit, also at the palate, the wine is mouthfilling and has a lot of prune, plum, even strawberry, then some dark chocolate and some minty flavours. I think this will be even better tomorrow as the spirit now stands aside a little bit. The aftertaste is quite long! Nice!

Is this the same as the "regular" '66 Fonseca or did they release two different bottlings?
