1991 Warres Vintage Port

This bottle, a 375mm, was a leaker and the cork was loose, so had to open. Light brick red, clear. A dry nose, pungent with light berries. Tastes well aged, more advanced than the full bottle tasted in 2015. The taste is not too complex but offers light raspberry with a small dry bite, hints of strawberry. The nose opens up nicely. Moderate nice finish that lingers a bit. Touch of sweet leather once in a while and a hint of pomegranate. Had half the bottle the next night, not nearly as good and one dimensional...markedly worse. Has some more aging potential; but will be a good one, not a great one. Twice my notes have noted very nice after 7-8 hours, but on the second day is not nearly as good.

Thanks for the update on the '91 Warre's, and though I have a full bottle it still give me a glimpse into it's character ..................... Mahmoud.

Spot on note IMO. The 1991's are now typically showing more advanced than 1992's. Oh, the difference a year makes.
