1945 Taylor Vintage Port
Tasted blind. Fairly brown in color, but has a some red hue. Sweet cherry aroma, slightly musty, with concentrated fruit, and a little licorice in the background. There is some cooked Asian vegetable/soy/umami aroma too. Later it was more like cooked soy and dried shitake mushroom. Later there was a little alcohol warmth in the aroma. This is fairly viscous in the mouth, with lots of alcohol warmth going down and in the finish. In between, there is flavor of some sweet cherry Sucrets, on top of brown sugar. 88-90 points. Later there was a little leather and tobacco aroma, raisin flavor, and a little peaty-musty aroma. 89 points.
