1964 Krohn's Branco Colheita Port

Post by Andy Velebil »

Bottled in 2007. Took this to a wine friends dinner at his house. Served double blind to all in attendance. While I didn't take notes due to the setting this had a wonderful concentration of honeysuckle, toffee, brewed tea, just a little citrus in the background and a soft texture. The latter of which is starting to show more and more as these older bottlings age...I say that as reference for those of us who've had it often over the years. Those at the table didn't notice it and from comments, and how quickly the bottle emptied, I assume loved it. Overall, still holding in there and a really good White Port but starting to show it's age in bottle and best to consume these over the coming few years for best results.
