I've accumulated a bunch of those nice oak boxes Sandeman 30/40 year old tawny's used to come in.
They are nice and sturdy hardwood, I hate to throw them out and have been pondering a good use.
My only idea so far is to make bird houses out of them

Anyone find a creative use for these boxes?

I'm interested as well, as I have piles of Kopke and Porto Rocha wood boxes, plus a rather large number of Stone Terraces wood boxes. Right now they just stacked on top of my fridges, but I'd love to find a fun use for them!

I use one on my desk to hold all my pens/pencils/highlighters/etc. Otherwise, not too many uses for them as they are so small.

Though perhaps as a change holder?

I did a bird feeder with mine as well. but are other ideas...

Screw it horizontally on your wall near the door, add some hooks. Makes a nice key box.

If you have many, stack them and make a tasting table or some furniture. I've seen a super nice TV table made of wine boxes.

I've been saving the embossed/printed sides of OWCs to cover a wall with someday, but those finished Sandeman boxes don't exactly fit into that scheme. They are nice, so while I don't know what do with them, I've kept them as well.

Plant seedlings that you can move in and out of the house to harden before planting in one of your gardens.
