NEW FORUM: Please Report any bugs that you see

We have a new forum! Please give us feedback on the new forum by replying to this thread. It's based on the old forum but almost all the software is new. The Tasting Notes Database user interface is the old one, but we will be working on improving that... especially for mobile phones.

Thank you! [cheers.gif]

I miss the "View unread posts" button at the top on the board index

I used that all the time, to see go through all the posts made since I last visited the forum.

It is under Quick Links apparently. Could you move them out from there like on the old forum? It is a bit hidden in a submenu.

I'll see what I can do about surfacing the "Unread Posts".

I hadn't noticed the lack of the unread posts button, because when I open a new browser window, I just have a button to go to unread posts, and it still works: search.php?search_id=unreadposts&sid=8f ... 760cae6030

I think you can shorten to this: search.php?search_id=unreadposts

The TNDB is working for me. Can you post the exact message that you are seeing? Or take a photo and mail it to [email protected]

From the forum I went to the page that lists "My Tasting Notes" along with the search capability. I get the same result as the image when I try a search.

Should it be helpful, I would note that I get the same error message when using both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer after having cleared the caches of both. On Chrome (though not IE), I get a different error message when avoiding the search function and attempting to open Roy's and Members' TNs. I would add, though it is a quibble, that whether heading to an error message or one of the indices, the download time is exceedingly slow. This was always the case, at least here in Europe, though the speed is now much reduced in getting even to the FTLOP home page. Anyhow, good luck with things; one appreciates that it is going to take a bit of time for you to work out the bugs.

Speed has been an issue since the upgrade and that is being looked into. I'll let David answer the error message, that's beyond me.

Fetching tndb_tn_entry failed!!!

I found and fixed this before going live... but some how it came back. Possibly cache. It's working for me now. Please take a look.

Works for me now as well. [cheers.gif]

Speed however has become worse since the new site went live. It was always very slow before, but now it's noticeably slower than before.
For example, it took at least 15 seconds to load my original reply.
