Quite a lot of seepage considering the age, allmost all the way through the cork. I hope it is just this bottle.

Medium red with slight purple color around the edge
Sweet fruity smell with a touch of alcohol in the nose. Maybe it's cherries I'm associating this smell with, not really sure.
Heavy fruity taste with some tannins. Not very long aftertaste

Seemed a bit darker in the color now. Alcohol and fruit more integrated, and an overall better experience.

Most of the fruit has gone, both from the nose and the taste.

Lars, have you tried any other VPs by Rozes? I only ask because I have seen just ONE year at a local merchant, but for the price, it is tough for me to spend the same money on an unknown bottle/lesser know producer than for say, a '97 Ferreira, which I know is wonderful and an excellent bargain.

No this is the only one I've tried. It was around $22 US so I thought it was rather cheap for a VP and took a chance on it.

Wow, thats a lot of seepage for a 1999. Either is was heat damaged and leaked when it got hot or a faulty cork. Any '99 should not leak or have a cork that is already soft and saturated.
