TN: 2011 Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa Douro red

Post by Rune EG »

Decanted 6 hrs which probably was 1-2 hrs too short (minimum 7 hrs). Deep purple colour with a light rim. Powerful and complex aroma of berries, oak and minerals. A variety of herbs are well integrated in the aroma. Full to medium body. Taste is powerful, super elegant, distinct minerals together with plenty herbs, and abundance of fruit. Latter having a slight sweet touch towards the end. Long aftertaste with some dry elements. Will wait further years before opening the next bottle. 96 pts.
