TN: 2016 Cartuxa Tinto Reserva

Extremely dark and opaque, although there is some suggestion of garnet at the rim. Presents a spicy aroma on top of dark fruits; black pepper, pimento, eucaplyptus, currant, tar, graphite, and black cherry. In the mouth, this is a tannic beast! And there is plenty of acid as well. There is more dark fruit in the flavor, with blackberry and blueberry. But there is too much tannin for me to enjoy now. 88 points today, but I can easily guess that this will be 92-94+ points later.
