(There is not a definitive answer to how this wine came to be, but it is believed that after the Reynolds family regained control of the winery after the 1974 revolution, perhaps they couldn’t fill a tonel with enough juice from a single harvest. In any case, this wine is believed to be a blend of the two vintages.)
Very developed aroma with faint olive, hiding fruit, along with some oxidized paper. Later there was some musty cellar aroma, and smoky dried plum. Tastes wonderful. It has some oxidation, but is still fruity with plenty of acid, orange and lemon. And there are flavors of apricot, dried strawberry, and cherry. 96 points.

I believe this was my highest scoring non-dessert wine of the 2021 Three Regions Tour. WOTT.
