I recently bought this Port and wanted to make it taste to a couple of friends as I really like it.

The color is purple opaque. The bouquet is of great intensity, an explosion of licorice, clove and crushed ripe field berries is keeping your nose in the glass. On the palate, the wine is dense, good balance from the beginning until the end. Flavours similar to the nose, with ripe plums and cherries, some mineral/dark chocolate touch on the finale adds complexity. Tannins are bold and thight, great grip and long after taste. 17.5/20

I'm really impress by this Port. I've tasted the 2001 which was not a block buster but a really enjoyable port for the short them and the 2003 which had an hollow palate with over the top fruit. But this is finally a rich, complex and balanced port made for the long term.
