Apparently Taylor (the American one) has 1.6B views on TikTok

I was looking for port news on google news and this is the first story that popped up,
https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/10/21/t ... ncredible/

Mostly people getting pretty drunk and saying its "liquor" not wine.

I can't tell if this is good or bad news.

On the one hand, massive exposure should lead to some trickle up of demand, but on the other their introduction to "Port" is not even the real thing and may put them off altogether.

That news story even falsely linked to the Portuguese Taylor and I'm sure the situation is giving Adrian Bridge and co. a headache right about now.

The only references in the article are to the Portuguese company, not the upstate NY company. Are the TikTok videos based on the upstate NY company or something?

(I don't do TikTok so wouldn't know.)

Yes the videos are all about trying the upstate NY Taylor on video, and exclaiming "That's liquor!" and variations of that. They have been spreading for the past month to two.

This is the page where I got the 1.6B number from:
https://www.tiktok.com/discover/Taylor- ... ne?lang=en

For the record, I don't do TikTok either because it's basically malware, but that's a subject for another day.

Well, TikTok scores the worst for spreading disinformation:
